| Aim of the project: | The aim of the project was to improve the competitiveness of agri-food companies from the Łódzkie Voivodeship by enhancing their capacity to develop innovative post-production waste management strategies based on German experience. |
About the project
The project was addressed to companies from the agri-food sector with an organisational unit located in the Łódzkie Voivodeship.
Participation in the project enabled beneficiaries to acquire unique knowledge on the potential use of biogas technologies as a means of enhancing the competitiveness of their enterprises. With the support of German and Polish experts, participants developed individual waste management strategies for their companies and reduced the costs associated with waste disposal. As part of the project, study visits were organised, allowing participants to explore real-life examples of biogas technology applications in Poland and Germany.
The project was implemented by the Bioenergy for the Region Cluster, which has been active in the field of renewable energy in Poland for many years. The project partner was the German NEU cluster, comprising 38 entities including companies, R&D institutes, universities, and local government units. The cluster specialises in implementing innovative technological solutions in the field of biomass and biogas, as well as adapting them to the needs of SMEs.
The project was co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund
