Modular tank system for small-scale hydrogenation processes

Start date:2020-09-01
Completion date:2021-05-31
Project status:finished
Aim of the project:development of a new product: a modular tank system for small-scale hydrogenation processes

About the project

The subject of the project was the development of a new product, which is a modular, tank system for small-scale hydrogenation processes. The system allows for controlled hydrogen dosing to the reactor with a small volume, at controlled temperatures and high pressure. The system is dedicated to hydrogenation reactions requiring high pressures up to not less than 170 bar, high temperatures up to not less than 190 degrees C, volume not less than 10 ml and not more than 100 ml, dosing control of not less than one gas dispensed from a cylinder or installation. The system will be used by scientists for research into innovative materials and processes. The solution is open to expansion, it provides remote control, data archiving and parameter programming in a simple way, without specialist knowledge of the construction and operation of controllers. End-users were involved in the process of developing the product through identifying needs, testing the prototype with their participation, reviewing, conclusions and summarizing the implementation. The most important result of the project as a whole is the start of offering the new product by the company, which will contribute to the expansion of the company's markets and offer, increasing its revenues, as well as the possibility of implementing other innovative projects.
The project was co-financed by the European Union under the Smart Growth Operational Program 2014-2020, sub-measure 2.3.2 "Vouchers for innovation for SMEs", co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
