RIC Pro-Akademia with scientific category A
We are delighted to announce that Polish Minister for Science and Higher Education has decided to award RIC Pro-Akademia scientific category A in the discipline of environmental engineering, energy and mining.
The results relate to the evaluation of the quality of scientific activity carried out in Poland between 2022 and 2025. The Minister of Science and Higher Education determined the categories on the basis of a resolution by the Science Evaluation Commission.
Scientific Category A confirms the very high standard of scientific activity carried out by RIC Pro-Akademia in the assessed discipline. This is a particularly important distinction for us, confirming the quality of our team’s achievements, the effectiveness of our research and development work, and its significance for the industry and society.
Category A also constitutes official confirmation of RIC Pro-Akademia’s scientific potential. It will strengthen our position in competitions, consortia and research and development projects, as well as in partnerships with universities, scientific institutes, businesses and other research organisations.
Achieving Category A also entails new powers. Pursuant to Article 328(4) of the Act on Higher Education and Science, an entity holding scientific category A or A+ may conduct proceedings concerning the recognition of foreign academic degrees in the discipline to which the application relates. Degrees awarded by authorised institutions operating outside the European Union, the OECD and EFTA are subject to recognition if they are not considered equivalent to the relevant Polish degree under an international agreement. This means that, following the formal award of Category A status, RIC Pro-Akademia will be able to conduct such procedures in the disciplines of environmental engineering, mining and energy.
This achievement is the result of the joint efforts of the entire CBI Pro-Akademia team and the consistent development of research addressing the real-world challenges associated with energy, environmental protection and sustainable development.
