RIC Pro-Akademia with a positive assessment by the European Commission


On On December 1, 2020, the European Commission positively assessed the Internal Review Report on two years of implementation of our activities related to the HR Excellence in Research Strategy. In summarising the assessment, the experts appointed by the European Commission indicated that they are: 

"happy to give a very positive comment as the institution shows ambition and a very good progress on all actions and has embedded in an exemplary way the HRS4R process into the institution's life."

The European Commission awards research institutions the HR Excellence in Research distinction as part of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers - HRS4R strategy aimed at increasing the attractiveness of working conditions, career development, mobility, as well as substantive and financial assistance in research projects and transparent recruitment processes. Institutions that implement the Strategy may apply for this prestigious award in compliance with the principles and guidelines contained in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the recruitment of researchers. It is a distinction awarded, on the one hand, to the institution for its activities for the benefit of research workers, and, on the other hand, to encourage it to take further actions aimed at making the working conditions and recruitment processes more attractive. The European Commission promotes the awarded institutions among international organizations and scientists as providing researchers with the best conditions for work and development. Implementing the Strategy is a continuous process that involves the regular assessment of progress in implementing and complying with the principles of the Charter and the Code by foreign experts appointed by the European Commission (EC). The results of the experts' evaluation decide whether the institution will maintain the HR award. RIC Pro-Akademia received this award in 2018. Now, after 2 years of implementing the strategy and obtaining positive results of the mid-term evaluation, we have 3 years to implement new measures and apply the recommendations of the for wider use of the HR Excellence in Research logo. After this time, HRS4R assessors will visit us and check how we managed to improve the system on site.
