RIC Pro-Akademia is joining the debate on the future of the Polish space sector
Experts from Research and Innovation Centre Pro-Akademia took part in a strategic workshop organised by the Polish Space Agency in Warsaw on 27 April 2026.
The meeting focused on the future direction of the Polish space sector and its role in building national security, resilience and Poland’s technological competitiveness.
The workshops provided a platform for in-depth, expert discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing the space sector in the context of current geopolitical, technological and economic conditions. Representatives of RIC Pro-Akademia, Dr Marcin Siedlecki and Dr Sergii Bespalko, actively participated in the meeting, sharing our research and technological perspective.
RIC Pro-Akademia’s participation in the POLSA initiative forms part of efforts to strengthen national innovation potential and to seek solutions that can support the development of modern technologies for the space sector. CBI Pro-Akademia is developing expertise in the field of advanced energy technologies, including plasma processes, which can be applied, for example, in the production of synthetic fuels, water treatment or waste management in conditions requiring high efficiency and reliability.
The meeting at POLSA was also an opportunity to exchange experiences with representatives of the expert community and to discuss the long-term vision for the development of the Polish space sector. The conclusions drawn during the series of workshops are intended to contribute to the public debate on the future of the space sector in Poland.
