RIC Pro-Akademia in the Top 10 Polish beneficiaries of the Horizon 2020 Programme


After 7 years of implementation of the European Union's Horizon 2020 research programme, in the ranking published by the Polish H2020 National Contact Point, we were ranked 8th out of 195 Polish research organizations benefiting from the program in terms of funding per researcher. We obtained funds from the European Commission for research and innovation under 5 international projects in the amount of almost EUR 50,000 for each employed scientist.

Horizon 2020 is the largest research and innovation framework programme in the history of the European Union, implemented in beteen 2014 and 2020. Its total seven-year budget amounted to nearly EUR 80 billion. Co-financing from the programme was received by 195 research organizations from Poland, which implemented / are implementing over 1000 projects, with co-financing of over EUR 350 million. 

Research and Innovation Centre Pro-Akademia received financing for five H2020 projects:




identification and quantification of the impact of new social trends on energy consumption and their implementation in long-term modeling of energy demand


increasing Europe's innovation capacity in science and business by developing a set of tools and services that shorten the time needed to bring biotechnology research results to market

improved management of the potential of by-products of the production of ashes from sewage sludge from municipal wastewater treatment plants as active or inactive additives to building materials
