Minister of Science Scholarship for Young Researcher at RIC Pro-Akademia
Maksymilian Kochański, Ph.D., Eng., a researcher at RIC Pro-Akademia, was among the recipients of this year’s scholarship from the Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding young researchers.
The Minister’s scholarships are awarded to young researchers who have made significant scientific achievements. In this year’s competition, 1,640 applications were submitted, which were assessed by a special panel using a points-based system within the framework of individual scientific and artistic disciplines. Ultimately, 230 outstanding young scientists representing 54 disciplines were recognised.
Among the winners was Dr. Maksymilian Kochański, whose research focuses on a systemic, empirically based analysis of energy and environmental transition. His research covers, amongst other things, energy efficiency, smart metering systems, the circular economy in construction, energy demand modelling, adaptation to climate change, and solutions for agro-environmental systems.
Dr. Maksymilian Kochański’s academic output comprises 25 scientific articles, 4 chapters in monographs and 3 peer-reviewed conference papers. He has published his research findings in renowned scientific journals such as Energy, Journal of Cleaner Production, Environmental Innovation and Societal Transitions and Energy and Buildings. His work has been cited several hundred times in international scientific databases.
A significant part of the laureate’s work involves combining scientific research with the practical implementation of solutions supporting the energy and environmental transition. Dr. Kochański has led or co-led projects carried out under the Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe programmes, concerning, amongst other things, energy efficiency, energy demand modelling and the resilience of agro-environmental systems to climate change. He is also a co-developer of solutions protected by patents and utility models, and a co-author of the practical implementation of scientific solutions in business.
We warmly congratulate Dr Maksymilian Kochański, MSc, on this prestigious award and wish him further success in his research and in the practical application of his work.
