Matchmaking mission to Brazil
The representative of CBI Pro-Akademia - the Bioenergy the the Region Cluster managing institution was involved in the group of 22 representatives of European business which had been invited to take part in a matchmaking mission to Brazil, which took place between 7th and 10th of November. The mission was entirely dedicated to the renewable energy sector as a part of the "Low Carbon Business Action in Brazil" programme. Brazil is currently the eighth largest economy of the world. In last years this country makes intense activities to reduce its greenhouse gases emission, which propel the development of such sectors as biogas, photovoltaics or energy efficiency.
Our representative participated in the business meetings at the University of Sao Paulo's International Innovation Diffusion Centre, where he was speaking with almost 20 out of 35 invited Brazilian entrepreneurs. They resulted with three cooperation pre-agreements signed, as well as with building promising informal contacts. The cluster's offer had been also presented to a wider audience, where our achievements in biogas, biomass & energy efficiency projects raised a significant interest.
