Maria Skłodowska-Curie's Fellow will perform research at RIC Pro-Akademia

We are pleased to announce that we are starting the implementation of a two-year research project funded by Horizon 2020 Program, titled "Management of Municipal Water Waste Treatment Plants Potential by-Products of Sewage Sludge Ash type, as Active or non-Active Additions to Portland Cement-based Binders — Sewage Sludge in PC". The project will be coordinated by Dr. Lidia Trusilewicz, a new researcher at RIC Pro-Akademia – winner of the prestigious fellowship from the European Commission under the "Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions - Individual Fellowships."

Dr. Trusilewicz defended her doctorate with honors (cum laude) at the Technical University of Madrid on the basis of the dissertation entitled "Determination of reactive alumina content from pozzolanic additions, natural and artificial, to thermogravimetry and Rietveld method". She is the author of publications in renowned international journals. For over 10 years she has conducted R&D activities in Spanish research centers such as R&D Technological Centre of Acciona Infrastructures, and the Eduardo Torroja Institute for Construction Science Building. The leading scientific partner of Dr. Trusilewicz in the 'Sewage Sludge in PC' project will be Prof. Dr. Eng. Wieslawa Nocuń-Wczelik, a world-class expert on building materials technologies.

"Maria Skłodowska-Curie Actions - Individual Fellowships" are addressed to experienced researchers, who have at least 4 years of work experience or doctoral degree. The candidates can apply for funding for the implementation of an individual plan of research and training in selected foreign institution for a period of up to 24 months. So far, within the first two rounds of competition, the fellowhips were awarded to 2,514 researchers, of which only 9 moved to Poland.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 746830
