Changes in the energy sector and the economy bring many challenges, but also opportunities for residents and entrepreneurs in the Bełchatów region. How to prepare for the transition, what programmes can be helpful, and how to develop business based on green technologies will be discussed during the event "Life after coal. Łódź in transition", which will take place on 21 November 2025 in Kamieńsk.

The initiative is organised by the Marshal's Office of the Łódź Region – Department of Entrepreneurship and Just Transition in cooperation with the local government in Kamieńsk. Participation is free of charge, and the organisers will provide coffee and refreshments. The event is open to the public, encouraging discussion and the exchange of experiences. It will start at 10:00 a.m., and registration will be open from 9:30 a.m.

During the first part of the meeting, experts will provide practical information on professional development opportunities, subsidies for training services and programmes supporting pro-environmental and modernisation activities. The Bełchatów-Kleszczów Industrial and Technological Park will present options for financing development services and improving qualifications, and the Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Łódź will present current forms of support, including funds for thermal modernisation and improving the energy efficiency of buildings.

The second part of the event is addressed to entrepreneurs interested in innovation and energy transformation. The Provincial Fund for Environmental Protection will present financial instruments for companies investing in environmentally friendly projects. In turn, the Łódź Special Economic Zone and the Institute for Public-Private Partnership will discuss support for investments as part of a just transition and opportunities for cooperation under the PPP formula.
