The Pro-Akademia Research and Innovation Centre is recruiting for a student internship within the Energy Conversion and Resource Recovery Research Group. The internship will take place as part of the BeBOP project, which aims to develop and demonstrate technologies for the production of methanol from biomass.
CBI Pro-Akademia’s role involves analysing the recovery of valuable elements and compounds from solid residues resulting from biomass gasification, in particular from carbonised material and ash.
The internship is aimed at students completing their Master’s degrees in technical fields such as chemical engineering, process engineering, energy engineering and environmental protection. Participants will work with the FactSage software package, which is used to model the chemical composition and phase transitions of chemical systems. The aim of the work will be to carry out a series of simulations and to identify the relationships between the potential composition of carbonised residue or ash and the efficiency of leaching of individual elements.
This opportunity is open to individuals holding an engineering degree or a bachelor’s degree who are in the final stages of their master’s degree in technical fields such as chemical engineering, process engineering, environmental protection, energy or related disciplines.
The internship will run for at least July and August 2026 on a full-time basis under an employment contract with a gross salary of 4,850 PLN.
The internship will provide valuable practical experience that will enhance the skills of future Master’s graduates, as well as yield important scientific data supporting the use of innovative technologies in industry.
