Fuel cells for innovation

21-09-2015

Research and Innovation Center Pro-Akademia became a member of consortium of the Project “High-Performance Molten Carbonate Fuel Cells”. The Project is executed thanks to the funds obtained within the Applied Research Programme funded by the Polish National Centre for Research and Development.

The aim of the project is development of technology of producing molten carbonate fuel cells based on new materials and construction solutions as well as new electro-chemical solutions for electrodes. A significant element of the project is the practical character of the works undertaken within it, which guarantee acquiring specific knowledge, possible to be applied in practice – using MCFCs for the production of electricity. Fuel cells are one of the most prospective energy sources for future generations – both in terms of effective use of energy resources and environmental protection. Results of research and economic analyses conducted within the project can have tremendous impact on future energy market.
