Climate Partnership: Joint Actions for a Better Future
A representative of RIC Pro-Akademia, Katarzyna Korczak, leading our Energy and Climate Transition Research Group, participated in the annual meeting of the Partnership for Climate Platform. The event took place at the Environmental Education Centre of the Warsaw Municipal Forests.
The meeting aimed to review the partnership’s achievements to date and discuss its future activities. Particular attention was devoted to the growing challenge of heatwaves and ways to increase the resilience of both the city and its residents to their impacts. Experts and representatives of the City of Warsaw presented a range of research projects and initiatives designed to protect public health and improve the performance of urban infrastructure.
The meeting also addressed the development of cooling spaces and highlighted the role of the private sector and ESG-related activities in building climate resilience. Participation in the event provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and learn about good practices, which are essential for advancing climate transition and adaptation efforts in response to changing environmental conditions.
