Change the world of energy! The KICkoff competition has started
KICkoff has kicked off! It is all about innovation and sustainable energy
Participants will compete for participation in the KIC InnoEnergy Highway® acceleration programme. Entries will be accepted until October 31. The path entrepreneurs must take to amass capital and start a project does not have to be long and winding. Not all doors of investment funds, accelerators and angels of business are tightly locked. It is certain that the door of KIC InnoEnergy, a European company that supports innovations and knowledge of the energy sector, is wide open. KIC InnoEnergy is dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship, and it is organizing a competition known as KICkoff whose aim is to find promising projects related to sustainable energy from Central and Eastern Europe. The winner of the event will take part in the KIC InnoEnergy Highway® acceleration programme which will help a new entrepreneur develop an idea and turn it into a viable business activity. What is more, the winner will receive financial support.
Enter the competition
If you are a student, a researcher, a start-up'er or a bit more experienced businessman who develops a project in the field of sustainable energy, enter the competition by October 31 using this contact form and compete for the grand prize. The competition organizers will go over all submitted projects with a fine toothcomb and assess their business and innovation potential. The most promising start-ups will qualify for the second stage, and their creators will be invited to one of the four cities: Gdańsk, Poznań, Warsaw or Cracow. Then, the semi-finalists will take part in special workshops, and the jury will select the finalists among them. The competition will be adjudicated during the final gala, which will take place on 1 December in Cracow Cricoteka. The final task of the three pre-selected inventors will be to present the skills gained during the workshops before the organizers.
No losers on the podium
All finalists have the chance to participate in the KIC InnoEnergy Highway® acceleration programme where the prize is as much as 150.000 Euro for the development of a project. What is more, the main prize in the competition is 10.000 Euro in cash. The silver medallist will take a prize of 5.000 Euro, while the third place will win 3.000 Euro. It is worth fighting for.
