Abstract

The article presents the experiences of the“ITC”Heat Engineering Department in Łódź of the Energy Institutein implementing innovative solutions in the field of power engineering. The process of commercialization ofscientific research resultsisdescribed. Based on the example of the electro-hydraulic power regulator,devel-oped in ITC and implemented in one of the professional power plants, whichput into operationinnovativesolutions resulting from scientific research, the individual stages of knowledge transfer to the economy arepresented. The structure, composition and functions of the regulatorarediscussed, as wellas the results ofobject-oriented research, which prove the correctness of its operation and the validity of the adopted solu-tions. Examples of the benefits of the implementation of regulators are provided, exemplifying good practice inthe area of cooperation between industry and research facilities.
