E-mobility – a remedy for transportation smog

04-10-2018

On 24 September 2018 RIC Pro-Akademia organised two sessions on the 6th European Bioeconomy Congress Lodzkie 2018 in Łódź. The congress was visited by close to a thousand of participant. The session “Electric mobility – a remedy for transportation smog” was dedicated to the presentation of the practical sides of using electric vehicles in daily operation of organisations, in particular companies from the transport sector. During the session Katarzyna Woźniak, Aleksander Kochański (RIC Pro-Akademia) and Tomasz Gać (Quriers) shared their experience in using different types of EVs and the use of public charging infrastructure.

On the second session “The Antismog Forum: An overview of technologies, best practices”, Katarzyna Korczak (RIC Pro-Akademia) and Tomasz Gać (Quriers) presented a business model of an ecological courier company. They presented the strategy of Quriers transformation into a carbon neutral company, that was developed during the CO2URIER project and is now implemented by Quriers. Tomasz Gać shared his experience in switching the car fleet to electric one and using PV installations to ensure that green energy powers the cars. The major role of the carbon offsetting programme was highlighted: the environmental impact of the company cannot be avoided without the voluntary support of the customers.
